Custom views and displays are essential for your organization to see important information easily and clearly. Consider adding an additional column to the left list when you need more details about the records being selected there. For example you may want to add a search key and UPC code in a column to help find products easier. Sales order data isn't the most detailed, but they added a reference and store code for each record. In general, there is a lot of data attached to the records that you might want to display instead of just the standard fields X3 decided to use.
This is done from the Development > Script dictionary > Objects function, but you will need to know which object you’re modifying. The easiest place to find this is in the Development > Script dictionary > Windows function at the bottom.
Standard windows start with “O” and then the object name (POH for Purchase Order Header). The “Browser” tab shows every left list selection on that window, and the object name.
Modifying the left list is done from the “Selection” tab on the Objects function.
After entering a table you can use the magnifying glass on the field to find the right field code to add.
Save and Validate after you add the field.
After that it will show in the left list.
Now you can quickly find the information required to keep tasks on track and handle any issues that might come up, ensuring that your day-to-day activities are efficient and effective.
