There are a few things you should know about Sage 100 system requirements, as well as the underlying architecture and technology, needed to get the ERP software up and running properly.
NOTE: Sage 100 is available in three different versions, each with its own unique system requirements and supported platforms. Those versions include:
- Sage 100 Standard (Fat Client)
- Sage 100 Advanced (Client-Server)
- Sage 100 Premium (SQL Server)

Sage 100 Standard (2018)

The items listed here are intended to be used for clarification purposes only, and are not intended to represent a comprehensive list of exclusions.
- Using a server operating system as a Sage 100 Standard Workstation is not supported (not even as a client to another server).
- Sage 100 Standard is not designed for any version of Windows Datacenter Server and is not supported on this platform.
- Windows Server 2008 – As a result of Microsoft’s decision to no longer trust any code that is signed with a SHA-1 code signing certificate (see Microsoft Technet Article 32282) beginning in November 2015, Sage 100 began upgrading its product installers to use the more secure SHA-256 certificate. Issues have been reported with SHA-256 certificates on Windows Server 2008 (see Microsoft KBID 2763674) Note that Windows Sever 2008 R2 is supported.

NOTE: The recommended minimum is designed to ensure the systems used for Sage 100 Standard are capable of providing adequate performance with a standard complement of normally installed applications, such as virus protection software.
IMPORTANT: If you have custom code modifications to your Sage 100 software and/or third party add-ons, contact us before installing or upgrading your ERP software.
