Review of the Best New Features
Sage X3 Version 11 (aka "Sage X3 Update 11") has been released and it’s packed with some great new functionality including a new project management module, production scheduler in manufacturing, financial management enhancements, and new options for industry-specific complementary solutions and connected apps. New Project Management Module
The new Project Management Module provides planning and tracking tools to meet the needs of project-based organizations in the Manufacturing and Services industries. It supports all stages of a project from initiation, quoting and planning, to project completion.
At the heart of project management is the work and budget breakdown structure allowing you to control costs, delays, and resources. The new module is entirely integrated into the ERP processes with links to quotes, sales, purchasing, work order, and MRP.
New Production Scheduler (Manufacturing)
Through a global OEM agreement, Sage has introduced a new integrated planning and scheduling component for Sage X3 called Production Scheduler. It is replacing the former option called Manufacturing Scheduler or Gantt module.
Available for On Premise installations only, the new Production Scheduler provides advanced planning and scheduling capabilities in real-time and is natively designed for a multi-user environment. Among many great features, Production Scheduler provides different views of lead-times and bottlenecks to support quick decision-making on production issues (capacity sizing, subcontracting decisions, work order time-shifting, etc.).
Core Financial Management Improvements
Sage X3 Update 11 introduces a nice variety of enhancements to core financial management functionality including some of the following highlights:
- Improved currency conversion variance process
- New financial pre-consolidation in real-time
- Advanced bank statement management with automated transaction matching
- Improved credit control with customer blocking / unblocking
- Speed and performance improvements in several financial processes
Top Connected Apps & Complementary Solutions
A variety of new apps and industry-specific solutions that are complementary to Sage X3 were introduced with Version 11. Here’s a look at some of the top new integrated options.
Sage eCommerce - this new integration allows you to build a comprehensive webstore within days, and manage catalogs, pricing, inventory, customers, and transactions as part of the core Sage X3 supply chain management process. More on Sage eCommerce.
Salesforce CRM - Synchronize customer records between Salesforce CRM and Sage X3, and display customer orders in Salesforce using the new Sage X3 Salesforce CRM Connector.
Sage X3 Construction - built using the Safe X3 development platform, the new Sage X3 Construction is designed for construction and real estate processes including project management, contract management, estimating, timesheet, sub-contracting, project financial tracking, and cash flow.
Data Management & Analytics - built on ZAP data intelligence technology, Sage X3 now offers data management and modeling across platforms and multiple data sources.
Sage X3 Update 11 Availability
Sage X3 Version 11 is now available to customers in the cloud or on-premises. All features that were introduced in previous cloud-only releases (update 10.x) are now also available to customers on-premises with Sage X3 Update 11.
