The first Sage Intacct release of 2025 is here! This release has several new updates for improved efficiency and streamlined processes that we know you'll want to take advantage of. Read some of the latest updates below:
Company and Administration
Instance Setup Wizard enhancements: The setup wizard was updated to provide a smoother experience when creating companies. Fields and tabs that were no longer in use were removed, and the remaining fields on the Company and Login tabs were combined. For more information, click here.Accounts Payable
AP Automation with Purchasing-Available to All Companies: In this release, purchasing automation is available to all companies. This add-on to AP Automation streamlines the process of creating draft transactions for incoming vendor invoices and aligns them with relevant purchase orders or receiving documents.
New bill approval rule: By incorporating the vendor-based approval rule type into your bill approval policy, you can assign an approver to each vendor within the vendor record. Then, when a bill is submitted, Sage Intacct automatically sends the bill to the designated approver's queue for review.
Accounts Receivable
AR statement enhancements: Last release, running balances and currency symbols were introduced. This release unlocks support for custom fields in templates and more convenient processing for large statement runs. Learn how it works here.
Cash management
Funds transfer- Early adopter: Make 3-way currency funds transfers when you join the Early adopter program.
NACHA payment files: You can now generate NACHA-compliant ACH payment files in Sage Intacct using the Bank file payment method. Use NACHA-compliant file formats to improve the efficiency and security of the payment files you upload to your bank.
Bank transaction assistant: The Bank transaction assistant provides enhanced flexibility by allowing you to draft customer payments that you're not ready to post yet.
Fixed Assets Management
Transfer assets within an entity: Move assets between departments, projects, or other dimensions. Each transfer automatically generates journal entries to update the asset's dimensions in the General Ledger, removing the need for manual updates. Transfers are also recorded on the new Transfer History tab for complete transparency and tracking. Details about this feature here.
General Ledger
Prevent direct posts to specified journals: Direct entries to General Ledger journals are one of the primary causes of discrepancies between subledgers and the General Ledger. You can prevent these entries on a journal-by-journal basis. A "Disallow direct posting" checkbox was added to the Journal setup page. If you select this checkbox, users cannot create entries for the journal through the Journal entries page in General Ledger.
Automatic reclassification of regularization accounts: Regularization accounts can now be set up to meet regional reporting standards. They can be classified as either assets or liabilities on the balance sheet.
Order entry
View dimensions in subtotals: Now, when you allocate dimensions to transaction line items for entity-level transactions, all the dimension details can be automatically transferred to subtotal lines. This removes the requirement for manual entry of dimension data on subtotal lines.
Automate revenue management even when billing using a different application: Streamline revenue management for third-party invoicing by integrating the Revenue Management tools of Sage Intacct. These tools facilitate the processing, deferral, and recognition of revenue from outside invoices with improved precision, and ensure adherence to ASC 606 and IFRS 15 regulations. The newly introduced Revenue Transaction Entries page allows you to edit, prepare, and post external revenue in large quantities, streamlining your workflow.
Tax
Tax submission for custom tax solutions-Available for All Companies: The new tax submission workflow streamlines the tax filing process for any company using a custom tax solution. Explore how it works here.
Support for term discounts for taxes-Early adopter: Users with a standard or custom tax solution in the Taxes application can capture taxes on term discounts in their Accounts Receivable and Order Entry transactions.
Create customized tax reports-Early adopter: Eliminate the need for external calculations of your VAT or GST tax returns to understand your impending tax liability with Sage Intacct's new tax report feature. This feature allows you to define tax report boxes, incorporate these defined boxes into a tax report template, and generate a tax report from the said template. This lets you calculate your tax burden for a defined period so you know what to expect before you start your tax submission. See the details.
Time & Expense
Define rates for billing-Sage Intelligent Time: Rate cards now provide the ability to establish consistent billing rates for employees, items, projects, or tasks. This method streamlines the billing process for greater efficiency.
Automate employee expenses for multi-currency companies: There is now an automated workflow designed to streamline employee expense submissions for multi-currency companies. Employees can now email their expense receipts directly to Sage Intacct from any device.
