Introducing Sage ERP X3 Version 6.5

Released in October, Sage ERP X3 Version 6.5 connects you with specialized services from the cloud, introduces new electronic document management and delivery features, and boasts an impressive range of enhancements for financial, sales, and inventory modules.  Here' a look at the new version.

ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT & DELIVERY

Sage ERP X3 6.5 introduces new document management functionality designed to help you capture, monitor, and manage the flow of internal and external business documents. With Electronic Document Management and Electronic Document Delivery, you can automatically email or fax system-generated documents (like invoices or financial reports), saving you time, money, storage, and postage costs. Even non-ERP users can drag and drop documents into the system, turning Sage ERP X3 into a capable electronic document management application that's available company-wide and extends beyond system-generated documents.

SPECIALIZED SERVICES IN THE CLOUD

Now leveraging the power of the cloud, Sales Tax Automation improves the process of collecting and paying taxes due, and eliminates the complexity associated with calculating, collecting, reporting and remitting taxes in multiple jurisdictions. Enhancements to 1099 Processing simplify the complicated process of tracking payments that are 1099-reportable. Also new to cloud services is Sage ERP X3 Shipping, which provides real-time address correction, label printing, tracking, and shipment history.  All of these services are part of a hybrid approach to combine specialized cloud-based applications with your core Sage ERP X3 software.

SAGE INTELLIGENCE REPORTING

The Sage Intelligence reporting tool that's a part of your Sage X3 system has also been enhanced. With the new Reporting Tree functionality, you can create a visual model of your company's reporting structure, while Report Distribution speeds up business processes with fully automated, unattended report delivery to a file, ftp site, or email address.

ADVANCED CRM OPTIONS

In addition to the built-in customer service features that are already part of your Sage X3 system, you now have the choice to integrate with the more advanced CRM functionality of Sage SalesLogix or Sage CRM. These 2 powerful CRM options help you manage sales, marketing, and customer service activities on one single platform that combines with your ERP data for true front and back-office integration and efficiency.

OTHER NOTEWORTHY IMPROVEMENTS

Sage ERP X3 Version 6.5 also delivers a collection of improvements that offer better tracking of inventory movement, more control over accounts payable and accounts receivable terms discounts, and the ability to add free-form notes and images to inventory records.
