With the release of Sage X3 Update 9, the Sage Intelligence Reporting component received several enhancements. In this article, we’ll take a look at what the changes are and how they benefit you as a Sage X3 customer.
Out-of-the box financial report layouts now address multiple years, sites and budgets, and all the dimensions are available in Sage X3 to be customized. This customization extends to multiple charts of accounts and multiple ledgers.
The Report Designer within Sage X3 Intelligence Reporting has been extended to support more account segment separators, allowing for a more consistent experience when reporting in Excel. In addition, integrated multi-currency support provides you with seamless access to the exchange rates maintained within Sage X3.
The addition of new Wildcards and Ranges enable you to easily define the lists of sites you want to report on, as well as the dimensions in your formulas and reporting trees.
A wildcard is a character that may be substituted for any other possible character in your reporting formulas. A range allows you to specify a series of results that you’d like returned in your report.
With this latest release, Sage X3 Intelligence Reporting is bundled with the core Sage X3 solution. This means that all new customers receive a Sage Intelligence Report Manager, Report Designer, and Connector License when choosing Sage X3 as their business management solution.
Note: here’s a quick look at the differences between Sage Intelligence and Sage Enterprise Intelligence.
Report distribution has been stepped up a notch. Not only can you send your reports along with calculated values (functionality previously available), but now you can send them with embedded formulas too, allowing your report recipients to see the data behind the calculations.
