Acquisition of Sage Payment Solutions

Sage Payment Solutions, North America (SPS NA) was recently purchased by GTCR, a leading Chicago-based private equity firm. The acquisition is an exciting opportunity for SPS NA as it represents a fresh, forward focus and renewed investment in our business, and in our customers.

SPS believes that partnerships are central to their business strategy, and they are excited to continue working with clients to deliver new partner programs that will help you better serve your unique businesses. From pre-sales to post sales, SPS plans to significantly increase investment in their solutions and support to help drive growth and lasting customer relationships for both their business and yours.

As part of this move, SPS NA will maintain its position as a key strategic partner to Sage, working together to improve and enhance the payments functionality within Sage Software. We expect the acquisition to be fully completed over the next few months, and in the meantime, it is business as usual.

As far as what is changing… only the SPS name.  Everything else will stay the same.

• Direct payment processing integration (plug in play if you will) with the software’s will continue.  Other payment processor's use plug-ins that require regular updates and modifications to the software tables.
• Credit card fees will not increase as these are mandated by the credit card associations (Visa, MC, Discover, AMEX).
• Support will remain “in-house” and free of charge.
• PCI compliance will remain intact as well as data encryption and tokenization.
