The first update for Sage 100 2023 (2023.1) is now available for download. It’s a minor release with just a couple of feature enhancements that we’ll take a quick look at here.
Building on the Inventory and Serial Number management features added in Sage 100 2023, the 2023.1 release continues to streamline workflow with the new ability to pull in the next lot number for distribution by selecting the new “Next Lot Number” button on the Lot/Serial Number Distribution screen in Item Maintenance.
You’ll work faster, but more accurately, with the ability to update existing work order links on open purchase order detail lines and match the links to their corresponding open work tickets.
A new Work Ticket to Purchase Order Post-Conversion Link Utility has been added to the Sage 100 Utilities menu that analyzes work order data and provides recommended actions. After running the utility, results are recorded in the System Activity Log.
Sage 100 2022.4 was also released at the same time. Download the release notes for details on this collection of program fixes for Sage 100 2022.
Concurrent with the Sage 100 2023.1 release, Sage 100 Payroll 2.23.2 is now also available which features a handful of enhancements including:
• Ability to mask social security numbers when printing select reports
• You can now mask direct deposit information when printing select reports
• Quick and easy access to viewing tax table rates in tax profile maintenance
• Taxes are now supported in additional jurisdictions
The first release of Sage 100 2023 back in April was packed with over 40 enhancements. Check out this What’s New Guide for all the details and be sure to contact us with any questions or to request help upgrading your system to the current release.
As previously communicated in our newsletters and by Sage directly, effective October 1, 2023, Sage will be cutting over to a more secure method of transmitting data between your Sage 100 system and the Sage licensing servers. In more technical terms, communication via the less secure TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocols will no longer be supported.
As such, Sage 100 customers will need to be on a current version that supports TLS 1.2 before October 2023 to prevent disruption of service.
Note: If license keys cannot be updated because your Sage 100 version is not TLS 1.2 compliant, then the software may
go into read-only mode. Please contact us if you have questions about whether your current installation is compliant with TLS 1.2.
